Reminders

Just a few reminders:

• Cookie Dough Fundraiser begins today!!   Remember to sell that cookie dough, safely. 
• Picture Day is tomorrow (Thursday, 8/30).  Be sure to look your best and wear your smile! :)
• Our first Reading and Spelling tests will be this Friday.  Students will be tested on the phonics skill (short a, short i), comprehension skill (characters), and comprehension of Arthur's Reading Race. We will take this first very slowly! 

Thanks for being such great cheerleaders for your awesome children.  As soon as we have our routines established and small groups going, I will begin setting up times for parents/grandparents to volunteer as Reading Buddies.  Please stay tuned for more information!

Great Start!

These first days of school have been full of changes and full of fun!  I have enjoyed getting to know your sweet kids.  I appreciate your patience and support as we continue to "nail down" our new procedures for changing classes.  By Monday, we should be into a steady routine (if there is such a thing)!  :)   I am absolutely thrilled about this school year and am looking forward to great things!!
